I’m a big Herve Leger fan so I was delighted to get invited to his SS16 show at The Arc, Skylight at Moynihan Station with my backstage ticket in hand.
It’s always wall to wall with clebs wearing his beautiful, body con dresses.
I said hi to the original supermodel Beverly Johnson as well as Petra Nemcova and Nina Agdal.
Celebrating thirty years in the rag trade, the designer who, as I said, is best known for his bandage style dress moved away from traditional shapes offering an exciting collection with peplum skirts and fishtail styles over pencil tight shapes worn with cropped little jackets.
Although there was a move away from tradition, we still saw those defining lines which contour the body so well.
This is one of my favorite Herve Leger pieces. I wore the black and white dress at a few events having seen it on Danni Minouge of all people when I interviewed her in London a while back.
This season I have my eye on a top the Pamela off-the-shoulder bandage top €830, and Bandage skirt €745, as I’m a size bigger on the hips so a 14 skirt fits while a size 12 top is what I wear.
