I DON’T MEAN TO BRAG

I don’t mean to brag, ok, well maybe just a lil brag, let’s call it a mini bragette! Hahahaha!

Geddit, a mini-bragette?!

Ok, here goes…… I met Kylie Jenner!

Yeah, like so what you’re thinking?

That’s kinda what I thought, but when I posted a pic of the two of us on my Instagram-@3namc-HMMOG, it nearly exploded.

I knew peeps liked her, but I didn’t realise how much!

My teenage nieces back home in Schull were straight on the phone wanting to hear every last detail about her lips, hair, whether on-off boyf Tyga was with her and how big her boobs were!
And bum.

So yeah, I was in NYC at Fashion Week, reviewing the latest beauty trends for SS 2016 and armed with invites and access all areas passes ready to get a glimpse of the next big thing, ubering from show to show and didn’t have time to change before Prabal Gurung’s evening show.

Prabal Gurung’s evening show.

However I’d had a bit of a splurge in Givenchy earlier in the day, feeling fat, I’d decided to buy some jewellery, it always fits even when I’ve been laying into lots of Lays chips and Oreos from my hotel bar, so I popped in my newly acquired nose ring and as I was leaving the show having had Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox trod on my toe, I stopped out by the entrance to adjust my shoe and just behind the door in the shadows a blonde girl was loitering with what I now realize was her bodyguard and casually said to me how much she liked my nose ring as I hoiked up the back of my Louboutin’s.

TOP FASF TIP-always wear interesting accessories to fashion week-they’re great conversation starters.

It was only Kylie Jenner and yes she is unreal looking, all big lips and blonde hair and if that’s really the cleavage she claims to create just from her Victoria’s Secret’s bra, than I need one as well!

She posed for a quick snap and we chatted about Prabal’s show which was, as they say stateside, awesome!

I was lucky enough to get a seat on the Frow, opposite Kylie and her entourage and Jennifer Hudson, who sent the photogs into a total frenzy-see video-I was actually more taken with Vogue contributing editor, Andre Leon Tally-see pic.

Anyhoo, the show opened with orange-robed monks, chanting prayers in remembrance of the earthquakes that devastated Nepal in April ’15, Gurung’s homeland.

It was a wonderful way to bring attention to the fund-raising Gurung is involved with to support relief efforts through his organization Shikshya Foundation Nepal.

It was actually quiet emotional-see vids- and not what you normally see at a fashion show.

The collection itself was awash in similar shades to the monks robes with shades of orange and saffron featuring brush stroke jacquards with golden embroidery used in a Nepalese jewelry motif and yes, I wanted it ALL!

Beauty wise I adored the nails by nail guru Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Colour Ambassador.

Digits were dipped in delicious custardy yellow colours.

Madeline used ‘Mum’s the Word,’ a pale yellow shade and Let’s Snow, both €9.99, part of Sally Hansen’s award-winning Complete Salon Manicure collection.

This is a less expensive way to update your look for the new season.
