Charlotte Tilbury: The Hollywood Collection

Oh, the red carpet. The glamour, the beauty, the seemingly unattainable level of perfection we see in snap after snap around awards season and premiere nights. It’s exactly this star-powered Hollywood look that Charlotte Tilbury seeks to bring to the masses with her latest collection. Appropriately titled The Hollywood Collection, the small roundup has some beautiful colours and finishes included, for cheeks, lips and eyes. I travelled over to London to get a first look at the upcoming goodies and it wasn’t a disappointing venture, in any regard.

The collection was up for experiencing at the lovely Savoy and lucky me, we stayed the night and had a fabulous dinner to boot (check out the menu below). Truthfully, there’s nowhere better to celebrate a collection centered on old-school, Hollywood beauty. The Savoy still echoes with the luxury and elegance of times past.

A lovely greeting from the Savoy!

BUT, to get stuck into the new products, I’ll first note that they come encased in the signature rose gold, so naturally they look fab at first glance. The Contour Wand, €35, comes in light and dark shades and has a rounded brush tip which you can brush over cheeks. It’s handy because you don’t get a straight line of product swiping across your cheekbone like a demented 80’s pop enthusiast, the brush allows you to buff in rounded motions (just don’t squeeze too much product out at once, or hello mess!). To further blend, make use of the Complexion Brush, €40, a double-sided multi-purpose tool. The synthetic bristles on the larger end will distribute contour much better, and the small head is ideal for blending out the highlight from the Beauty Light Wand, €35 -simply dab a touch on the brow bone and upper cheeks and brush lightly.

As for the Hollywood Lips, €32 each, there are ten matte liquid lipsticks, ranging from nude browns and rosy pinks, to ruby reds. You won’t have a tough time finding something to suit any complexion here. If you’re not a liquid lipstick lover, Charlotte’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Between the Sheets, €32, is a gorgeous alternative and it’s already available! Talk about pretty in pink.

My personal fav CT product overall – and I promise it’s not just because I have my name printed on the mirror – is the Instant Eye Palette (see here).  A mix of matte and shimmers, warm and mauve browns, all the way to radiant black! What more could a girl want – oh wait, it’s even divided up into Day Eye, Desk Eye, Date Eye and Disco Eye. I feel as if I don’t have to say anymore. Frickin’ love it.

With the lady of the hour, Charlotte T. herself, and the gorgeous Reallyree!

The Hollywood Collection will be available at from August 17th and in-store from the 31st, however the Liquid Lips will debut ahead of the rest, online from the 10th of August, so keep an eye out.
