Just when we’ve mastered make-up for our face, body make-up becomes a thing! It’s often easier to use than a developing tan, as it means no streaks and no messy bits.

Mac Face And Body Foundation, €35, has been a favourite of mine for years, for getting red carpet ready limbs, but now we have the iconic Vita Liberata Body Blur, €36. This is my absolute must-have, as it has colour-correcting pigments that adapt to your skin tone. It is basically airbrushing in a jar!

If you prefer a self-tan situation, you need to know about the gamechanger that is GlowDry. It’s created and developed by Dublin gal Fiona Dunne, who is a professional spray-tan technician and new mum of one. Fiona found her tanning routine changed after becoming a busy mum in Perth, Western Australia – where it is mostly hot! Despising the wet, sticky feeling and smell while waiting for her tan to develop, Fiona developed GlowDry. I use the GlowDry Starter Kit, €31. It masks those pesky fake-tan odours with a fresh, beachy scent, leaves your skin soft and silky, and reduces any transfer of tan to your clothes and your sheets. Thank me later!

Beach Wave Beauty

Hilary also has its own collection of vegan-friendly nail polishes. Monday to Saturday is all about the hair but on Sundays, the salon is reserved for nails.

Pop in and try the ‘after sun cleansing shampoo’, a must for swimmers to protect their colour from chlorine, and the perfect wash-and-go for clients who want that beachy, natural look that Alexa Chung wears so effortlessly.

Great Eight

Basically, the serum builds up the moisture levels in your skin, plumping up those pesky fine lines and crows feet. I find its fabulous to use as a make-up primer under my make-up for a fresh, glowy look.

Triona’s Trick

If you find you make-up slipping during the day, blotting papers are brilliant. If you haven’t any, just pop some deodorant on your fingers and dab it down your nose and over your T-zone to create a matte look!
