WEEKEND WARRIOR: Part 3

WILD LIGHTS @DUBLIN ZOO

The Wild Lights is a magical night-time light show, featuring giant colourful lanterns and illuminated animal sculptures, inspired by wildlife! An amazing treat, mid-week or the weekend.

Some of my personal highlights include a porcelain elephant tower and a 30-metre long Chinese dragon. The kids were absolutely amazed.

There were Chinese performers, Chinese foods and warm drinks – perfect for the winter/Christmas season and a marketplace featuring hand-make crafts from Chinese artisans. Gifts sorted!

It was an absolutely unforgettable experience where friends, families and groups can come together during the festive period. It really doesn’t matter what age you are, amazement will be in the air.

It’s on now now until  7th January 2018 – every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at the mo – extended to seven days a week for December, 5pm – 9pm. Talk about a Christmas treat.

Adults: €20, Child: €15, Under 3s: €0

PADDINGTON BEAR CHILDREN’S AFTERNOON TEA AT THE SHELBOURNE DUBLIN

Great news (well I think so anyways)! The Shelbourne Dublin has introduced a new offering to its enjoyable Afternoon Tea for the little ones with an extra-special Children’s Paddington Bear Afternoon Tea, in partnership with the new Paddington movie.

The menu features a delicious selection of goodies based on the famous bear’s story and, of course, strongly features one of Paddington’s very favourite foods – marmalade. Their dainty finger sandwich selection includes ham, cheese and Nutella, which makes it an ideal treat for the kiddies, as these are all things they enjoy!

Maxi awaiting his sandwiches, with a rather serious expression!

Instead of the selection of loose-leaf teas or specialty coffees, children enjoy a Lost and Found Strawberry Shake!

It’s not just for the kids after all…

The movie, Paddington 2 is out on November 10th and I can’t wait to see it with Maxi and Mini. With an all-star cast (Brendan Gleeson and Hugh Grant in particular), what parent OR child wouldn’t want to see it?

Paddington Bear Afternoon Tea is on offer at The Shelbourne until November 22nd, 2017
It’s €28 per child and advance booking essential. It’s mighty popular! See here for details.
